Both the question papers will be of objective type(multiple choice questions)
The question papers will be set both in Hindi and English
The course content of the Syllabi for the optional subjects will be of the degree level.
Each paper will be of two hours duration. Blind candidates will however, be allowed an extra time of twenty minutes at each paper.
Stage 2 Main
The written examination will consist of the following papers:
Paper 1 One of the Indian languages to be selected by the
candidate from the Languages included in the
Eighth Schedule to the Constitution. 300 marks
Paper 2 English 300 marks
Note: The papers on Indian languages and English will be of Matriculation or equitant standard and will be of qualifying nature. The obtained in these papers will not be counted for ranking.
Paper 3 Essay 200marks
Paper 4 General Studies I 300 marks
Paper 5 General Studies II 300 marks
Paper 6, 7, 8 & 9 any two subjects to be selected from
The list of the optional subjects each
Subject will have two papers. 1200 marks
Total Main Marks 2000 marks
Interview Test 300 marks
Grand Total after Interview Test 2300 marks.
Note: Candidate who have opted for Indian languages as medium for the main examinations have an option of being interviewed either in English or Same Language which they have opted for the main examination.
