The Civil Services Examination will consist of two successive stages.

1. Civil Services Preliminary Examination(Objective Type)for the selection of candidates for the Main Examinations and
2. Civil Services Main Examinations (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts noted above.

   i) Preliminary Examinations
   Examinations will consists of two papers.
   Paper 1      General Studies                          150 marks
   Paper 2      One Subject to be selected
   from the list of optional subjects           
   from the below list.                                          300 marks
   Total marks                                                      450 marks
